ANT-5 Fighter Model (1:72)
- Brand: Art workshop "Golden Antelope"
- Product Code: 91727
- Availability: In Stock
Collectible scaled bronze model of the ANT-5 light fighter, the first all-steel fighter in the world. The fighter name was derived from Andrey Nikolayevich Tupolev.
The warcraft resembled the German Fokker D.XI fighter manufactured under a licence in the USSR since 1922. As the prototype got technically outdated, the design team headed by A. N. Tupolev started developing a modern maneuvering war plane. The team of constructors with Pavel Sukhoi at the head performed structural calculations.
The result was the first all-steel fighter in the world that had the best maneuverability at that time (1927).
