Medieval armor was used by knights to protect the body and head from enemy attacks. There was a huge variety of armor. Knights in Europe mostly used heavy plate armor, which protected the body well from enemy arrows and sword strikes. Russian knight armor was lighter, knights in them were more mobile and quickly changed their position and stance for battle. Knights could easily dodge heavy sword strikes, unlike heavy plate armor, which held up chopping sword strikes well, but due to their weight and rigidity, knights could not dodge strikes as quickly.
